Soldiers’ Engraved Lighters from the Vietnam War
Last year, Cowan’s Auctions put up a lot of 282 Vietnam War-era Zippo lighters featuring personalized and anonymous engravings chosen by U.S. soldiers, sailors, and airmen during deployment. The collection was compiled by American artist Bradford Edwards over several years in the 1990s, on-site in Vietnam. The collection sold for $35,250 on June 21, 2012. Re: Soldiers’ Engraved Lighters from the Vietnam War
Not so true. I'm a historian and have read military history all my life and have 500 years of military lineage within my family. I can never get enough of hearing soldiers stories. Every day I read about at least 1 if not near a dozen from all sides in any conflict I can source. I'm trying to sign up to be an airforce officer right now. God I hope I get in, if not it's back to college to work on my masters writing about Spanish military officials exploring and administering the province of Texas.
