There was a story about this a couple of days ago on yahoo news. It said morphine - or codeine, I dont remember - is converted to desomorphine by some process involving gasoline and red phosphorus and that, because that shit is still in it, it not only rots you, but can cause irreversible neurological damage.

Ok, first of all how long did it take for his leg to get like that? And second of all, couldn't she have hacked it off with something better than a cheese wire? Jeez. That looked like hard work.
Oh and third of all, that helps him how exactly? He still has lumps of bone sticking out.

I guess they used the saw because a bolt cutter type device might have caused the leg bones to splinter, not that he's gonna be needing them much longer anyway.
