Skunks bred for the pet industry are usually de-scented. There are also different color variations: this one is referred to as apricot.  |

Understood, but even de-scented skunks spray. My roomie used to have a de-scented skunk. She told me de-scented spray smells like toast. Not the worst smell, I guess.  We have a pack of wild skunks around my property. Cute as heck and fun to watch from the screened porch. But they stink like hell, especially during mating season. But that still doesn't dissuade me from wanting one as a pet. |

De-scented/de-glanded skunks aren't that bad smelling. Cute as hell, about as smelly as the average ferret.
