Re: Mohammed Revealed
The praying-5-times-a-day bit is standard garden variety plain vanilla every day reinforcement of the hypnotic state. Nothing to do with "allah". Mo', the sociopathic child molester, well understood manipulating people via hypnosis. L. Ron Hubbard was an accomplished hypnotist as well. |

Re: Mohammed Revealed
From the masses the call for a fair and logical escape from their abusers. When the Shah of Iran fell, the radical insurgency took control and has been in control of the people of Iran for over thirty years. The Shah was liberal but the people were kept in poverty and now they have not only poverty but extreme violence and abuse......there is only the hope of civil war.

Re: Mohammed Revealed
I'm going to be completely honest here, I don't like any religion and whenever some bastard starts talking to me about it I can't help but laugh, but anyways, I'd rather have a Christian or Catholic living beside me than a Muslim, they think they can bring their bullshit beliefs from the Middle East into North America/Europe? I always get pissed off because they are suppose to get accustomed to the country their coming in, yet they want everyone to follow the same rules they left back home...

Re: Mohammed Revealed
Hope? The Islamic Republic is a knee-jerk reactionary result of 300 years of being taken advantage of by the West under lazy and greedy rulers like the Qajar kings... But since Reza Shah the Great every Iranian leader tried slowly to throw off the yoke of British and foreign rule. Reza Shah did it and was forced to leave. Mohammad Mossadegh was put under house arrest for life. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi Shah wanted to end the oil agreement where the UK would get Iran's oil for 1/10th of the price and somehow an unknown half-Indian mullah who couldn't even speak Farsi correctly became the figure of the revolution. The best hope right now is a level playing field between Iran and the West where both sides can lower their guns. As long as the US wants to incite separatists and civil war in Iran, the Islamic Republic will continue with its police-state measures and human rights abuses. When the winds of war fade and Iran and the West reconcile, even the Islamic Republic will loosen its iron grip.

Re: Mohammed Revealed
This is for JohnnyDouchebagRedneckKnowitAll: ![]() its not the religion, it's the political and economic climate that leads people to the more fanatical members of their own religion... look at the coincidentally high amount of hardcore Christians in poor urban areas and the Bible Belt in the US. Now if bombs were falling and foreigners were sapping the oil in Nebraska you'll find yourself a nice Billy-Joe Tariq and Billy-Bob Al-Muhammad. ;) |

Re: Mohammed Revealed
The Shah was good for middle and upper middle class Tehrani's and military families. He sought to modernize the country but did it too fast. This is because he didn't understand his own country. He lived most of his younger, impressionable years in Switzerland and touring Europe. He came back to a country where the majority were religious, superstitious, poverty-stricken and conservative. He wasn't liberal though, the Shah was a conservative monarch who wanted to modernize Iran while maintaining its Muslim identity (his father Reza Shah wanted to abolish Islam from Iran)... the downfall of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was his total inability to connect with his own people and in general the downfalls of all autocratic monarchies. ...now the I.R. has done some very messed up things (but read any book on Iran's history and you'll see that ALL of Iran's governments have done messed up things because authoritarianism is a long-standing part of the culture, 2500 years under autocracy. But the main concern now in Iran that all classes can agree on is the economy and mismanagement/corruption. The failure of the reformists was their focus too much on liberalizing and social reform which was great for the middle class students and upper middle class wealthy doctor/lawyer families but the majority of the country responded by turning away from the reformers and ushering in the years of the Abadgaran, or the new conservatives (Ahmadinejad & friends)... those guys promised economic reform and appealed to the poverty stricken, and their first election was not tinkered with (unlike the 2009 Mousavi/Ahmadinejad one). |
