i actually did this in the marines. we would rig out loads for external hook up and then bring in the 46, and 53 helos. when they come in they have a donkey dick hanging under neath them, it is highly charged with static electricity. we then ground the donkey dick with a grounding rod and then grab a hold of it and fasten the hook to the load. the whole time the helo is right above you, i have actually bumped my head against the landing gear. then the front man diredts the helo to lift and once clear, off they go. pretty cool thing to do. even neater is watching a load come off and frap in. i wish i had photos of the ark that comes to the ground rod when the bird comes in bright blue and about 10 inches long
