Dying Soldier Hangs on to Priest Photograph, Venezuela 1962
Puerto Cabello naval base, Venezuela, 4 June 1962. A soldier who has been mortally wounded by a sniper clings onto navy chaplain Luis Padillo. The image shows a priest who encountered a wounded soldier, who pulled himself up by clinging to the priest’s cassock, as bullets hit around him.  ·
