One of my friends had both a racoon and an opossum. Rosco Racoon and Opie Opossum.
Opie was spoiled rotten, but so was Rosco. The racoon died a couple of years ago, and Opie mourned himself to death. Refused to eat, no matter what was offered. Poor little guy missed his brother so much, he followed him all the way to the other side.

It may be cute, but as pets it isn't the best idea. Not to mention you may want to check local laws on keeping "wild" animals as pets. One of the main reasons behind regulations banning such pets is because unlike dogs, cats, and other domesticated animals there are no actual vaccinations that have been proven to be effective on them.
