Hey, my internet handle thing is based off of the Fennec Fox!

Yeah, they go for minimum $2,000. From everything I've read, they're shockingly good pets. They piss and shit in a litter box just like a cat. The two biggest problems with keeping them as pets from what I can tell is that they are relentlessly energetic during the night (they're nocturnal), so it'd be like a cat constantly doing laps around the house while you're sleeping. The other problem is that if let outside in a fenced in yard, unless it minimally extends 10 feet under ground, they'll tunnel their way out.

No doubt they would get loose here in California and enjoy conquering a new continent if brought here as pets.

Yeah, I think California would be a perfect place to conquer. Luckily, they've stayed niche amongst experienced owners for a while now. Hopefully it'll stay that way.
