Sure, fucknut. We did help the EUROPEANS with the push to remove Ghaddafi. Europe wanted him gone but didn't have the air assets. Sure, it wasn't pretty, but it gave the Libyans a chance to determine their own destiny. We didn't instill a puppet regime, we gave the folks a chance...and right now the extremists have the weapons and the loudest voice. Why don't you fly into Libya and fix it yourself?  BTW, lot of Europeans calling for a similar air war over Syria....but guess what? They know it won't happen without US aircraft refueling theirs... US fighters patrolling the skies and suppressing defenses... US command and control experience to deconflict all the moving pieces... Sure, embrace isolationism. The US isn't/didn't take unilateral action here. |

Anyone who believes this had anything to do with some stupid no-budget youtube video is mentally ill. Youtube is full of anti-muslim videos. This has everything to do with 9/11 and retaliation for osama bin laden. At one of the last UN meetings our people made over 20 comments stating that- ..."we got osama". Thats why one of the groups named literally translated to "we are osama" both groups were al quiada and well equipped to carry out a military attack. The small amount of controversy caused by the video was just an easy way to get the cause of the attacks off of politics. Obama doesnt want to have to make a big potenially damaging decision this close to the election, in short he's a spineless coward. This was an act of war. Obama doesnt want to go to war even if it is necessary, thats why he is avoiding the isreali president. Something needs to be done about Iran, Lybia, and the groups in Cairo, but Obama is scared it'll hurt his reelection prospects so he is avoiding all of it because he is spineless! Personally I say either go over there and blow them completely off the map...or, completely withdraw every last American and all aid we send from every single middle east country and let them rot in their own filthy hell. Fuck em' let them eat shit and die as they choose.  |
