Rare John Wayne Gacy Crime Scene Photos
John Wayne Gacy, one of the most notorious serial killers in American history, was responsible for the murders of at least 33 young men and boys between 1972 and 1978. The crime scenes associated with Gacy's horrific acts were primarily centered around his home in Norwood Park Township, near Chicago, Illinois. Gacy, often known as the “Killer Clown” due to his habit of dressing as a character named "Pogo the Clown" at children's parties, lured his victims to his home under various pretenses. These included promises of construction work, offers to socialize, or simply by force. Once at his house, the victims were typically overpowered, sexually assaulted, and then murdered. The majority of Gacy’s murders took place in his ranch house, located at 8213 West Summerdale Avenue. The most gruesome aspect of the crime scenes was the discovery of 29 bodies buried in the crawl space beneath his home. Some victims were also found buried elsewhere on his property, while others were discarded in the nearby Des Plaines River, as Gacy ran out of room to conceal the bodies at his home. The discovery of the bodies at Gacy’s house in December 1978 exposed the extent of his crimes and led to his arrest. The investigation and subsequent trial revealed Gacy's methodical approach to luring, capturing, and murdering his victims, as well as his efforts to conceal his acts. Gacy's home and the crawl space became a focus of extensive forensic investigation, aiding in the identification of the victims and understanding the full scope of his crimes. Gacy was convicted of 33 murders and sentenced to death. He was executed by lethal injection in 1994. |

Re: Rare John Wayne Gacy Crime Scene Photos
Back in the 90's, I saw a book that displayed the police photos of the remains of the young boys Gacy killed. I still remember when authorities began unearthing his grisly deeds. It was national news for weeks especially when a photo (displayed on your post) of 1st lady Rosalynn Carter and him surfaced. FYI: Gacy was put to death by lethal injection, in 1994. Good post. |

I love his equipment. He had a clear plan for those boys once they made the mistake of entering his house. There was no exiting that chamber of torture and death. I wonder if it was sound proofed |

Re: Rare John Wayne Gacy Crime Scene Photos
These are indeed quite rare photos. I understand he actually hired some of his future victims to excavate grave spaces in his basement. Of course, they thought they were preparing for sewer improvements.
