If I wasn't unconscious from inhaling too much smoke, I would probably take the death plunge. Makes me wonder if I would close my eyes or keep em open til the final impact.

Most of these people didn't actually think or plan to jump. Their body just naturally recoiled from the heat and they found themselfs falling. Some where surviving trying to get air but after a good deal of time standing there, suddenly in the span of seconds the floor became much to hot to stand on and their body instints just forced them to step out. Some probally walked or crawled out of the darkness right out a window. This wasnt like a suicide jump with a long period of choosing wether to jump or not. They were forced out wether they wanted to or not and when that moment of being forced out happined, the moment happened very quickly.

Not sure that they liquefied, they just splatted and bounced. Probably around 117 mph when then hit, so... something like another 1 mph for every 2 seconds after terminal velocity? and they would have reached 122 until 15 or 16 seconds. Luckily people tend to curl up in a fetal position when they jump. So that probably helped out. :)

Just a quick response to Sharon... No need to apologize for the poor quality of the film... I've seen this particular pic in various places and the quality is the exactly the same no matter where I've seen it... Thought I'd let you know the quality was no fault of yours hon...

If we DONT see these scenes, we will never fully empathize or get the full impact of terrorism in this country...This affects me more than word of mouth..it hits home.
