I don't think they embalmed PJP2, but yeah, he looks rough in the lat few pics.

but I can't stand the hate for this man. I know that many people don't agree with the Catholic Church, but PJP2 was very kind, generous, and an overall good person. He didn't get to make every decision, and the Catholic church is incredibly flawed, but he doesn't have absolute power.

Now, I didn't like Benedict XVI. Unsure about Pope Francis.

Pope Francis is actually extremely popular with friends of mine who are militant atheists. I think it's because he's a good, decent human being, not a good "Catholic". But I agree with you about the hate for JPII, other than just having a disdain for religion in general I don't see where it's coming from and why it's being directed at him.
