I know. They cant figure out what to do with his face. So for now they are just trying to ward off infection. |

Re: Pictures of Ronald Poppo Who Had Face Eaten Off in Miami
In the super far away 18 minute attack video - at one point it does look as if attacker removes the victims lower clothing. Then wildly postions the victim. The victim appears like a ragdoll even from such far distance. It does appear attacker possibly is diverted from the face of the victim after removing victims bottom clothing for a period of time - or has not yet begun the facial attack at this point. Also the attack begins near the palm tree to the right and mostly obscured. Victim can be seen being tossed or moved by attacker radipdly and clothing being removed from victim around the time attacker moves victim to the right of palm tree then a flurry of wild activty on the part of attacker. All these things are happening simultaneously. At least one bike rider can be seen riding by as attack is in progress. ![]() Srceencap from around 4:47 minutes into the 18 minute attack video. If close-up footage exists of the rescue - the same camera should have captured the attack. So close-up footage of the attack should exist. (Someplace) ![]() Screencap from recsue video. |

Re: Pictures of Ronald Poppo Who Had Face Eaten Off in Miami
At this point it would be better if the guy just died. What kind of life is he really going to have after this? He's already homeless, there is no way he will be able to recover properly and get the ongoing care he is obviously going to need the rest of his life. Such a shame........

Re: Pictures of Ronald Poppo Who Had Face Eaten Off in Miami
From a quick glance at the photo I did not observe an intact eyelid. If sight has not been lost in the eye possibly an eyelid can be constructed. I have not heard any updates on his overall condition. Only infection could impede recovery. Sometimes we imagine people recovering in hospital - only to hear that the patient has died. Sometimes weeks later due to their injuries or complications. I remember either a police officer or firefighter suffered major burn injuries and taken to hospital. There were no updates. I imagined him recovering - only to hear from news reports he died 4 months later. After hearing the news of that - it kinda blew my mind that someone could be in hospital 4 months from a sudden injury and not be recovering but dying that entire time. I guess I thought if the initial injury was not survivable the person would die at the scene or soon after. But I do not know the full circumstances. |
