Newly Released Photos of Reeva Steenkamp Dead
These photos were taken on the night of her murder during the crime scene examination. Reeva’s father urged the court to release the photos of Reeva from the night she died to "show the world what Pistorius did to his daughter".

In the early hours of Valentine's Day, 2013, Reeva was shot and killed by Pistorius at his home in Pretoria. Pistorius claimed he mistook her for an intruder, firing four shots through a locked bathroom door. Reeva was hit multiple times and died on the scene. The story took a turn when it was revealed that there had been previous reports of arguments and disturbances at the home.

The case against Pistorius was intense and highly publicized. He was initially found guilty of culpable homicide in 2014, but this was later changed to murder after an appeal.

she was a south African model who got killed by her boyfriend. got killed on valentines day actually. he stated he thought she was an "intruder" hiding in the bathroom, and that's why he shot her.

i thought those pictures were a bit tame...

Six images were agreed to be released after Mr and Mrs Steenkamp went through the 'very painful process' of choosing which ones they wanted to be shared with the public. MailOnline has chosen to some of the images (inset) but the others are too graphic to show. The ruling came during the Paralympian's sentencing hearing for murder where he had earlier teetered on his stumps in the courtroom (main) in a desperate last bid for leniency.
