Yes, I believe that was the gentlemen who tried out for the U.S. weightlifting team and didn't qualify, so he tried out for the Israeli team and qualified for it. His family was so proud of him, I believe that is him because the book I read said that one of the weightlifters attempted to rush them very early during the attack and was killed. So hopefully his family is still proud as he attempted to gain time for others to escape like a true hero. (Man what a difference a few guns kept nearby might've made, call me paranoid but I sleep next to a gun capable of killing every motherfucker in the room for this very reason) sorry if that was a bit long lol

It's sad that something like this had to happen before they realized they needed an elite counter terrorism unit. Of course they have that now (GSG9) and they are among the best in the world, in fact they created the entire organizational structure by themselves and many other countries have adopted it as their outline for elite police units. But sad this had to happen, seems like something bad always has to happen first before people see the need for protection.
