He could have, but depending on tyre temp and pressure, switching up too quickly could spin cold tyres and make you lose grip, resulting in a slower run. That extra second hitting the limiter gives the tyres just enough time to warm enough not to spin on the change-up. Or I could be full of shit and he just forgot to change up because he had a fucking TV on in his car. |

He would have lost the race. He didn't have traction. If he did shift into 2nd he would have been something like 2k or 3k rpms. |

Are you kidding me? He let it bounce off of the rev limiter for like 3 seconds in 1st before shifting. There was no tire spin.  |
