I'm surprised that Cruz was able to keep his title for being out that long. Interim titles are complete bullshit, IMO. I also wonder how much that time off has affected him, ring rust wise. Looking forward to when he fights next.

Dana has stated "NEVER AGAIN" will someone be allowed to hold onto the strap that long without fighting. That poor bug-eyed bastard Renan has been denied his title for way too long. Cruz should've had some dignity and bowed-out after a year of being unable to defend his title. It's unfair to everyone else in the division to have to them scrapping for the an interim title... "ring rust" or not, Cruz better bring it Feb 1st!

True, i'm trying to follow the LION fights promotion now, so hopefully that begins to take-off and become big in the states. I'm surprised that kickboxing hasn't managed to take-off and become more popular here. It has all the most entertaining aspects(read: strictly striking) of MMA yet hasn't managed to come into the mainstream. Probably just needs better marketing and a few household-name fighters to build an audience... same as the UFC. |

Glory starts in 5 minutes. I don't know if I can be bothered watching anything today, but the last event I watched (Spong vs Carnage) was pretty good.
