Italy was so broken at the end that I felt sorry for them and took no delight in those last two goals (bf loved it, though). All I can say is look out... that kind of humiliation will not be forgotten.

Well deserved for Spain, Italy did much more than expected during the tournement since they were expected to stop after the group stage, given the results of the last world championship. To beat Germany has been as nice as to win the championship, to Italy, and anyway to end up second after a team like Spain is not a failure: Spain have not conceded a goal in a knock-out match since 2006, it's a devastatingly effective team and right now i don't see any stronger team worldwide, including Brazil and Argentina. Hats off to Spain.  |

Indeed. I think that Germany would've been able to beat Spain, but hey they couldn't beat Italy in the semi final, but anyway, bravo Italia!
