Re: World War II Skeletons Found

This makes me cringe thinking about possibly finding landmines even in well developed places.
There are incredible amounts of hand grenades, cannon shells, artillery shells and other explosives buried all over old battlefields.

Burials were often hurried due to combat conditions. They just dug a hole and threw the body inside with whatever they had on and whatever weapons were around.

Ordnance was also buried in varied amounts in order to deny their use to the enemy and never retrieved. Not only that, but, there are also a lot of dud bombs and shells.

Explosives buried and left over from WWI and WWII still kill people every year.

Re: World War II Skeletons Found

That's deffo some ww2 shit. I like the cccp badge, i'm sure there's ID on many of the remains and everything seems very well preserved so i feel like they should be able to identify some remains. VERY COOL

...that does make one cringe; however, those are actually pan drums for the Degtyarev DP-28 light machine gun also pictured...look closer and you see individual rounds...

I didn't mean like that.....I was just talking about in general. As to say... If we are still finding bodies in other random places it makes me cringe to think about the great number of anti-personnel mines strewn all over the world.

I'd love to take a hammer to a skull and watch it break into pieces
