First let me just say that lynching was just terrible and should have never happened, period, and I'm not trying to be a dick ( ) with this comment. However, I can't tell you how many times I heard many of the black people, and even some whites I know claim that the only reason black people were lynched back in the day was because they were black. Absolutely nothing else, no accusations of rape, murder or any kind of crime at all, just because they were black. Not to mention that most people, both blacks and whites are completely oblivious to the fact that damn near half of all lynchings in America were of white people.

Your numbers are off.

The Tuskegee Institute has recorded 3,446 blacks and 1,297 whites were lynched between 1882 and 1968.

But I agree with you on moral grounds. It's unfair and inaccurate to dismiss all lynchings as racially motivated.
There is a tremendous amount of 'white guilt' in America, and shit-stirrers can and do easily exploit
that guilt (think Micheal Moore).
I don't dispute this oughtright, as there may still be dominant racist attitudes through much of the US that I just haven't encountered. But it infuriates me that fucker insists that all of white America is 'secretly racist' .
Where I grew up, nobody gives a shit either way what race you're from. How people treat you is entirely dependent on your behavior. Period.

I'm not saying I approve of the method of punishment, but, why should someone who is a retard face any less of a punishment as a 'sane' person. They still committed the same crime. I know execution is a punishment as well as a deterrent to others. Also, a simplistic way to look at it would be to remove a dangerous element from society. A retard who is capable of rape and murder is just as dangerous as a sane person guilty of the same crime.
