Thanks for the great info! Lobotomies, sensory deprivation, sterilization...western medicine is its own mobile torture unit.

Re: ~Psychopathic Doctor Freeman~

Some forms of lobotomy are still practiced in South America and Russia. They take away the part of the brain that is resposable for feelings of joy and lust in ppl with severe addiction problems. This way they won't be missing the "enjoyment" of taking drugs. They won't be enjoying anything else anymore either, as they can't.

PBS documentary on Dr. Freeman: http://video.pbs.org/video/1049423655/

Book worth reading: "My Lobotomy" by Howard Dully-- the boy pictured above-- who was lobotomized at the age of 12.

Re: ~Psychopathic Doctor Freeman~

I don't know why I like reading and watching movies about psychology back in the day when most treatments were cruel and unusual. It just gives me the chills. Reminds me of "one flew over the cuckoo's next" and yes ^^ House on Haunted Hill.
Even today with electro-shock therapy...I dont know how people can go through with it!
Makes me grateful that I dont suffer from severe depresssion, etc.
