Re: May We Never Forget Hiroshima (B&W)
The Japanese did bomb Pearl Harbor, with 2897 Americans killed, 879 wounded, and 26 missing. It was an egregious act of cowardice. The Japanese began the war from the air at Pearl Harbor......war is ugly.

Re: May We Never Forget Hiroshima (B&W)
But the reason they bombed us is because we really did [unintentionally] push them into a corner. Its weird to look at the diplomatic situation between the two of us in the year leading up to Pearl Harbor. And although I think we...sort of...started it, the nukes were necessary, and also an oddly humane thing to do... |

Re: May We Never Forget Hiroshima (B&W)
Dear Sir Please tell me what fucking planet you are living on. We i.e. the U.S. did not push anyone in to a corner and force them in to war . Read your fucking history pre december 7 1941 the U.S was taking a isolationist stance and trying to stay out of the war. With the exception of the lend lease to britian we were telling the folks at home we would stay out of the war. However Japans actions on December 7th changed all of that. Now to be fair to you Sir I think we would have ended up in the war one way or the other. There was no way in hell we were going to let Hitler take Britian and he was a mad man after all who had to be stopped. As far as the use of the Atomic Bomb you are damed right we were right to use it . When at war use your biggest weapon and put the bastard down for keeps . When in doubt glass their ass. It was a good Idea then and it's a good Idea now. |
