According to Wikipedia the picture was manipulated to add Harald, Magda's son, who was away on military duties. Coincidentally, there is a family picture in my family where my sainted Daddy was added into the scene in a similar fashion. He as well was away on military duties, as a POW in Germany/Bavaria. I don't have any sympathy for the adult Goebbels, they had plenty of chances to send the kids away somewhere safe, Magda is reported as discussing killing the kids a month beforehand. Reminds me of the kind of people who flip the board over if they lose at monopoly, damn unsporting. |
