the hung children was a desperate act to spare the orphaned kids the woes of war. They would have died horrible deaths at the hands of soldiers and or starvation and loney despare on the war torn streets...think of it as a relief to them. not about god sparing them bullshit, but just sparing the suffering that would have ended in death anyways....poor nursemaids..image what they would have gone through completing such a task of mercy..i would have done it with just as heavy a heart.
