A young mother of three died after she was poisoned by the cannabis she smoked to help her get to sleep.
Gemma Moss, 31, was killed by the level of the drug in her blood, an inquest heard.
The regular churchgoer, who was found dead in her bedroom, is thought to be the first woman in Britain known to have died directly from cannabis poisoning.
Her death was caused by cannabis toxicity, and a coroner recorded a verdict of death by cannabis abuse.
The inquest was told that Miss Moss smoked half a joint a night to help her sleep.
The devout Christian had been a frequent user but stopped for two years before her death last October.
Her family say she started using the drug again to help her sleep after becoming depressed when she split up with her boyfriend.
A female friend told police Miss Moss smoked as much as £60 worth of the drug a week, although her family disputed this.
On the night of October 28 last year Miss Moss, who had two sons, Tyler, 15, and Tessiah, eight, and a daughter who lives abroad, went to bed after rolling a joint.
She was found the following morning by Tyler’s girlfriend who called an ambulance to the flat in Bournemouth.


Miss Moss was pronounced dead at the scene.
Half a joint was found underneath her body and a wrapper containing brown and green leaves of the class B drug was discovered in her handbag.

she didnt die from the weed, she died from a heart attack. she did too much for her own tolerance, had a panic attack and died. if she had gotten medical attention sooner, they would have given her a benzo to calm her or would have sedated her completely and she'd of been fine. this is just sensational bullshit in an attempt to make weed seem dangerous.

let's say though that it was the weed that poisoned her and killed her (really, she had a heart attack but lets pretend).... that would bring the score to:

1 death from weed in all of britain

36 deaths annually just from alcohol poisoning in Sunderland alone (around 9,000 annually across britain and wales annually)

so, in other words, even if it were the weed (which is wasnt) that killed this woman you would still have a higher chance of getting hit by lightening

such bullshit....

so, if that were converted to dollars, that would buy me two days worth if i only smoked in the evening

... but increased heart rate is a standard side effect. most people just refer to it as 'paranoia'. if you dont have a tolerance (or if you used to have one but you havent smoked in years) and you do too much (like a full joint) you can have a panic attack. that's what killed her.. not "the level of the drug in her blood"

also, notice how they mentioned her religion three times in an attempt to inspire emotion... 'wow.. drug are so bad, they even touch the most faithful of us '

The word "overdose" implies that there is a common safe dosage and usage for the drug; therefore, the term is commonly only applied to drugs, not poisons, though even certain poisons are harmless at a low enough dosage.
