Unemployment IS down. Again, you can argue how or why, or it's relevance - all subjective, but the hard facts are that it is down 500k.

You can also argue that 300k left the labor force. It doesn't matter, because it still affects the unemployment rate. You can't argue unemployment hasn't "really" dropped, except by 500k because that's all it measures. You are applying two different data sets, and making a correlation.

Now, your correlation is not wrong. Nor is it irrelevant. But you can't use one to make the other say something different.

Back to the cup.

I've now added tea. Doesn't mean I didn't start with water, but it does make my comment "this is tea" truthful. So the real question is - is it still water or tea?
