Okay, I'm going to hazard a guess here.


First of all, did you watch that video and see how he was cramming those badboys in his mouth hand over fist? I think he could have gone half as fast and still won; I honestly didn't notice any other contestant, except the one next to him, eat even one.

Dude appeared to have prepared by fasting for several days beforehand. Therefore, my guess is that his stomach exploded, or he became nauseous (can be a symptom of heart attack) and vomited due to an.electrolyte imbalance caused by the fast, and then his heart stopped after beating irregularly. . I love that shrugging guy; he's my new Bestie!

The winner died. He won't be eating the prize. I don't know if such a contest allows for unforeseen circumstances such as second place gets the prize if the winner dies.

Somehow, I'm sure this wasn't planned for.

I have a lot less on my plate to eat now, lol!

I think we did discuss a murder. You live near a house where someone died. Is that you?

He didn't live near me, he was my best friend. Eric and Cooper were killed by Eric's partner, Cooper's bio-dad. We are still waiting for a trial date. Sorry for going off topic.

MIAMI (AP) - November 26, 2012 (WPVI) -- A Florida man choked to death after downing dozens of live roaches during a contest earlier this year in which the grand prize was a python, an autopsy released Monday concluced.

Edward Archbold, 32, of West Palm Beach died as a result of "asphyxia due to choking and aspiration of gastric contents," according to the report released by the Broward County medical examiner's office.

Lab tests for drugs came back negative. The death has been ruled an accident.

Archbold died after downing the bugs as well as worms in October for the contest at Ben Siegel Reptile Store in Deerfield Beach, about 40 miles north of Miami.

Messages left with the store's owner and his attorney were not immediately returned.

Archbold became ill shortly after the contest and collapsed in front of the store. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

About 30 contestants ate the insects, but authorities said none of the other contestants became ill.
