Which applies to Chinese trademarks yes, not those from the US..
Whether a company is American or Haitian, they can register their trademarks in China. You get it? And they do.

Yea, well that falls under what I said, they are a "china product" then, so china would enforce the TM laws.

A Non china product, no.

But that also just covers US/china if the company's are in agreements of course, through the registry.

The knock off manufactures can still sell to non-participating regions, like mexico, with the infringed logo, and get little to no interference.

I think it depends on the business savvy of the company. Very large corporations probably always register in China with new brands, because they know even if they don't sell there they want to be protected. Plus they probably have aspirations of tapping that market eventually. But companies that aren't global are obviously easy targets for the Chinese.

I'm sure they do. I'm sure a lot of the infringement shit they peddle comes from China through Mexico to our flee markets.

Re: US Now Second Largest Economy in World.

Big world name brands have huge stakes in both countries to keep product safe, so it would make more sense to see them getting attention.

But smaller companies, like music instruments for example, go un touched.
