Re: *update* Toronto Mayor Caught Smoking Crack/Cocaine
He was the mayor of toronto not the prime minister he had no effect on drug policy... also never said that. What he was vocal about is stopping safe use sites, he said and Im paraphrasing, it enables people, allows them to do drugs safely and if people want change (referencing drug use) it has to come from within. |

Re: *update* Toronto Mayor Caught Smoking Crack/Cocaine
He said that if someone was not willing to go to rehab, then jail was where they should be. There is another quote out there referencing using drugs and jail, I'm pretty sure it came out in his 2005 election run. He also said that the only people that get aids are homosexual men and drug users. He once compared homeless shelters to cancer. He said that cyclists that get run over by cars had it coming. The police were called to his house at least 3 times for domestic abuse. He associated with drug dealers, and is now being sued ( his estate is now I presume ) for having someone assaulted in jail. Pathological liar. |

Political corruption at its best, he is an example of how bad our system is, he is well protected by all the favors he has done while in office. Hmm.... sounds familiar with our current election campaigns |

Re: *update* Toronto Mayor Caught Smoking Crack/Cocaine
Hundreds pay their respects to Rob Ford at City Hall. Supporters of former Toronto mayor Rob Ford turned out in the hundreds at City Hall to file past his casket and pay their respects for a second day on Tuesday. At midday, a diverse crowd of more than 180 people stood in a line that wound across the front and spilled around one side of city hall. A backlog of people stood in line again, after filing past the casket, to be greeted warmly by Rob Ford’s brother Doug – who took over Rob’s 2014 mayoral campaign when Rob was diagnosed with cancer – or other members of the extended Ford family. Earlier in the day, after a rush of people before work hours, lineups had dwindled to just half-a-dozen people waiting at a time. City Hall’s doors opened at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday to allow people to pay their respects, and the main floor rotunda where Mr. Ford is lying in repose is scheduled to stay open to mourners until 9 p.m. His funeral is scheduled for Wednesday at noon at St. James Cathedral, following a procession from City Hall. full story |
