Train Accident, Germany. Hundreds Injured, 10 Dead
Two passenger trains have collided in the German state of Bavaria. The crash happened at Bad Aibling, a spa town about 60km (37 miles) south-east of Munich. 10 dead, 15 very seriously injured, over 100 injured in the collision which happened 06:48 local time (0548 GMT) Emergency services have converged on the scene and are trying to free those still trapped in the wreckage. No journalists are being allowed close to the trains, and roads in and around Bad Aibling are closed. The cause of the crash was human error Trains 'emptier than usual' Bavarian schools are currently closed for carnival season - if not for this, the trains would have been full of school students, say German media. Train speed limit on track PZB90 is 120km/h 'All survivors rescued' police say Federal Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt, speaking from the crash scene, has said his thoughts are with the family members of the dead and the injured. "We need to find out know what happened, if the cause of the crash was based on the technology or human failure," he said, according to Associated Press. Tragic, yet fortunately they weren't full. This could have been far worse. I have to assume that it's operator error. |

the 2 drivers and 2 conductors are pulp the whole German rail system has electronic safety guards installed to prevent and alert when ignoring red. on this line it was even checked 1 week ago. maybe copper thieves got the system fogged.  |

Interesting how people react in such situations... Knowing from my own experience in emergency situations i would focus on the fictims and not film every single fuck of it.. But might consider to ask someone to film for me so i have something to put on DR  |
