Re: Terror Attack in Stockholm
A man arrested in Stockholm after Friday's fatal lorry attack is believed to be the driver, Swedish police say. The man, who was arrested in the north of the city, has not been named, but Swedish media say he is from Uzbekistan. Four people were killed and 15 were injured when the lorry crashed into the front of a department store. Police said they were unable to confirm local television reports of explosives being found inside the truck. Police confirmed a man resembling him was arrested in Marsta, 40km (25 miles) north of Stockholm. "We have investigated several people this evening, who we found interesting in one way or another, and recently we arrested someone we are very interested in," said police investigator Jan Evensson, referring to the Marsta arrest. |

Re: Terror Attack in Stockholm
The security is up down here south in Sweden because of this attack. There are policecars just standing about around here in Malmö. Saw at least 15 policecars when i bicycled to my friend 10 minutes from me. They found something in a huge mall called Emporia a couple of hours ago, they haven't said what it is yet but I think they suspected it to be a bomb so they cleared the whole building and shot down the major streets around the area. Probably nothing, but you can see people are on the edge. Pretty sad actually, that people get so scared after these kind of events. And also this doesn't seem like it was planned at all. But that's my opinion. I mean he didn't even hijack or the rent the truck, he casually just jumped in when the driver was unloading it next to a restaurant. I dunno, doesn't seem like a planned attack.

Re: Terror Attack in Stockholm
I have to say that I sort of knew this was comming. It wasnt a question of if more then a when. We´ve allready had a terrorist attack back in 2010 but lucked out and the bastard only killed himself. But this time they succeded. I feel really sad because we do so much here in Sweden for the people who come here. And then to repay us in this matter... Hope this wake up some of the sleeping people. And that our government starts to act for once. But im not that confident that it will. RIP all whom lost their lifes on Drottninggatan 7/4-2017. |
