The Massachusetts teen on trial for the murder of a popular math teacher at his school faces new charges.

On Friday, an Essex County grand jury charged 15-year-old Philip Chism with an additional count of aggravated rape in the death of teacher Colleen Ritzer, 24. Prosecutors said that the teen forced Ritzer to have sexual intercourse before he slashed her throat and dumped her body in the woods near Danvers High School on Oct. 22, according to the Boston Globe.

Chism already faced an aggravated rape charge in the teacher's death because he allegedly sexually assaulted her with a stick, according to the Associated Press.

Aggravated rape charges are brought when there is serious bodily harm or when the rape was committed during another felonious and violent crime, prosecutors said in a statement.

Chism, who was 14 at the time of the alleged murder, pleaded not guilty in December.

The Danvers High School student allegedly attacked Ritzer, who was his algebra teacher, when she stayed after school to talk to him about an upcoming test. Chism allegedly followed her into a bathroom at the school and attacked her with a box cutter.

A pretrial hearing in Chism's case is scheduled for Jan. 30.

A 15-year-old Massachusetts boy accused of raping and killing his math teacher last year was indicted Friday on a second aggravated rape charge.

A grand jury in Essex County indicted Philip Chism on a charge alleging that he forcibly had sexual intercourse with Colleen Ritzer, a teacher at Danvers High School.

Chism, who was 14 when Ritzer was killed in October, was already charged with aggravated rape for allegedly sexually assaulting Ritzer with a stick. The 24-year-old teacher's body was found in woods near the school with her throat slit and a note that read, "I hate you all."

Carrie Kimball Monahan, a spokeswoman for Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett, said Chism may be arraigned on the new charge next week at a previously scheduled pretrial hearing.

Chism's lawyer, Denise Regan, did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Monahan would not comment on the additional evidence presented to the grand jury, which was recalled Friday morning and handed down the indictment a short time later.

"We had to wait until we had the evidence to present to the grand jury in order to do so," she said.

Chism had moved to Massachusetts from Clarksville, Tenn., before the beginning of the school year. Students told police that Chism stayed after school to receive extra help the day Ritzer was killed.

Search warrant documents made public describe surveillance video that authorities said show Chism following Ritzer into a school bathroom, wearing gloves and a hood. He is also allegedly seen pulling a recycling barrel through the school and outside. A recycling barrel was found near Ritzer's body.

Seriously though, i remember my ex telling me all the creepy/rapey shit that Junior High-aged, Mexican 'boys' had the balls to say to her when she was substitute teaching one semester at a couple of schools on the south side of town... any other woman would've slapped an adult who would've said what they were saying!
