Re: PRINCE Death at Age 57: Under Investigation

Our news is stating he was found in an elevator. Sad.

I saw him once when, "Little Red Corvette," was out.

Foul play is not suspected and there are no signs of trauma. Waiting for toxicology, which can take weeks.
"Little Red Corvette" was - supposedly - written, or at least began, in a Pink Edsel.

LOL!

Not kidding.

Re: PRINCE Death at Age 57: Under Investigation

He was not a drug user. In fact he didn't use alcohol or drugs. He was very cautious about what he ate as well. He donated money anonymously to cities and gave free concerts to the people of his home town. He was heterosexual and had a son who died of complications. Very private person that did things his way and left the world a better place... RIP.

If it makes you feel any better, he didn't think much of you. Don't waste your tears, he's in a better place now, an urn.

Aside from being unnecessarily cruel as a comment, this isn't true. He cared a huge amount about his fans and was a great humanitarian.

Yeah, I'll bet he wrote purple rain about you.

Probably called you up for advice on lyrics from time to time? Yeah?

Sometimes it's better to put things into perspective. Crying over a dead person who wasn't part of your life is completely irrational.

Are you serious or just trolling?

If you think a person's music doesn't make them a part of your life that's very sad. You listen to them, you appreciate them, they affect you. Shakespeare affects people 400 years after his death. There are some people who change the world. Most don't. You don't have to know a person personally for them to mean something to you, and matter.

Are you saying you don't have a single musician, actor, public figure in your life who has affected you? No favourite musicians, no writers etc? How sad if so.

This is what sets us apart from the animals in my opinion.

If you're affected by the music when the artist is alive you can continue to be affected by the music after the artist dies. The only thing that changes is that the particular artist in question will not be able to produce any more music.

I have many artists whose work I enjoy, but I will not be sad when any die because that would be completely pointless. If the person has played no active role in my life and has then died whilst leaving behind all the music/writing/movies/whatever that I had access too when the person was alive, what is my loss? How can someone feel loss when there is no loss?

No, people sometimes act emotional without any good reason, and in a lot of cases it is because they think they're supposed to feel something. I disagree with this notion, I think if someone equates the death of a celebrity as being anything close to losing a family member or friend that they are being silly.

I believe you, Oswald. It's about a woman though.

RIP.
He had an issue with Percocet, which is a drug, the night he had his plane make an emergency stop to go to a hospital.

I am also hearing he was in a lot of pain at the end.

Are you serious or just trolling?

I cried when Joey Ramone died. Never met him because I was too shy back then, but, he was a part of my teenage years. I saw them nearly every weekend.

Whenever a wrestler dies, I feel like I lost a family member. I went in the days when it was good and met several of them over the years.
