Re: PETA Slaughters Kittens/puppies
The part that hit closest to home for me is the fact that PETA supports the genocide of "pit bulls" I've had issues with PETA for years because of their stance on hunting and fishing, then all this info started coming out about their policy on killing animals in shelters and it just makes me fucking sick.

Re: PETA Slaughters Kittens/puppies
The first two stories of the building I took classes in while I was earning my first degree were used by commercial retailers. Directly across the street there was a fur store (Shumachers or something) and with out fail every Saturday a group of about 15-20 animal rights activists would set up camp outside the entrance with signs and sing obnoxious songs. To their credit, they always kept it civil and indirect, but they still managed to run off many a potential customer so the manager made a banner and hung it up in front of the store that said |

This guy is an extreme radical.... look him up online and dont judge anyone based on reading one article. This is an ongoing battle on the issues with "kill" and "no kill" shelters. He has used these pics in other battles of his and many do not relate to PETA. Here is PETAs thoughts on him http://www.peta.org/living/companion...r-no-clue.aspx |

Re: PETA Slaughters Kittens/puppies
I don't agree with the extremes in either direction, no-kill shelters are great, but not every animal is able to be re homed and I get that. What I don't understand is, why there isn't more outreach in communities to help provide pet owners with spaying & neutering services, that seems like it would be a good use of their funds. I realize that programs to help people with those costs do exist, but all of the ones that I know of personally are funded by private donations and the vets volunteer their time, etc.
