Peaches Geldof shares photos of baby Astala. But is their dog too close for comfort?

Besotted mum Peaches Geldof has been uploading more photos of her beautiful baby Astala and their Golden Retriever on Twitter. This made us a little nervous.

Would you let a dog of this size, however lovely, roll with your baby?

looks like the pics are more about the dog.. baby is crying in the last pic.

dog's nails could scratch his face so i wouldn't let it allowing that close to the baby at that age..

It concerned me somewhat too, we've always kept all dogs away from any babies in the family. No matter how nice the dog.

Some dogs are good protective caretakers of babies and it keeps them from crying as much as well. They have some of the very same emotions humans do they just express them differently.

I'm sure the last pic is most definitely a toothless smile. The dog would not would not be reacting to crying that way. Unless it is a stupid dog of course. There are stupid dogs as there are stupid people and smart dogs as there are smart people... and evil/good dogs as there are evil/good people. But it depends on how they were raised as nature intended or as we intended. \

I hear what your saying, Sharon, and this is a guy talking, but I would not be worried about the dog chomping on the baby, I would be worried about the nails like brom was saying - scratching and POSSIBLY infection.
