Crazy how uncomfortable you can tell those kids are. THAT, or those kids are extremely serious and just in "alert" mode. Pretty sure it's the former though.

Re: Ovidio Guzmán (son of "El Chapo) Captured; Major Gun Battles Ensue (Videos)
It's a cool idea, but time has shown us that violence begets more violence. Let's imagine that all honest citizens armed themselves and we started fighting the Cartel. Let's imagine that the citizens win. Cool, we're at peace now. HOWEVER, now there are families and friends of all the people who died in this battle. I guarantee you that some survivors are going to feel the need for vengeance. It's just a never ending cycle. There will never be a utopia because humans are free willed. |

Nope. One of the greatest representative democratic republics of all time, USA, was created by armed citizens killing and wresting the country from residing English, many of whom survived, stayed in country and moved forward as peaceful, law abiding Americans.

Mexico is like gun control run amok, prior to the early 70's gun rights in Mexico were similar to most of the US. Then they closed all the gun shops, gun ranges, made it illegal to take a gun outside your house, etc. and now only outlaws and the government are openly armed.

Re: Ovidio Guzmán (son of "El Chapo) Captured; Major Gun Battles Ensue (Videos)
This exactly happened just a few years ago, farmers in the countryside started self-defense/vigilante forces to fight the cartels and the Mexican government did the best they could to dis-arm and dismantle these groups.
