Not In The News
This needs mentioning as it is being swept under the carpet. In Belgium today (5 Feb 2025) 2 men with AK 47s entered a train station and fired at a train full of passengers before fleeing. They are still armed and on the run. I just checked the BBC website and there is not a single mention of it on their homepage or even in their World News section. Several articles about ethnic cleansing in Gaza though and about how evil Trump is. This scandalous refusal to report the situation is endangering lives (given that the gunmen are at large) I fucking hate the BBC almost as much as I despise Kier Starmer. Apologies for low quality pic, shows one of the gunmen after entering the station. |

Re: Not In The News
Yes I know it was up on their site for approximately 1 hour before they buried it. I'm not just slagging them off for fun, or to stir up resentment. Go to their homepage now and (as was the case for most of yesterday) you will NOT find a single mention of it. Click on World News section and you will also see no mention of it. If you click the link you provided yes, the story is there, but how is anyone supposed to find that from their homepage? The answer is you can't. The gunmen are at large still and this should be on the front page, not buried in the murky depths of the site. Many of the English speakers who live in Europe rely on the BBC for their news. Many people I worked with in Europe did not speak the local language but their native tongue and English. It is not without reason that this news has not featured in the top 10 stories of the last 24 hours. |

Re: Not In The News
Even if you use the search function on their site and type Belgium, or Belgium station attack it does not appear anywhere. I'm curious as to how Bleed found the article unless he coincidentally logged on to the site and saved the link when it was still up, but at the time I made this thread it was already gone. So how did you find it Bleed? In fact, how did you know to copy an unfindable link 14 hours before I made my post? I'm interested to know the answer to that. |

Re: Not In The News
I didn't say the article was gone. I challenged people to go to the bbc news website and find it for themselves from the homepage. Because nowhere is it referenced on the main news page or in the world news section.
