A video I found regarding the attack on the synagogue in Manchester, United Kingdom today

Here’s a video of the moment the police shot the perpetrator who stabbed a man in the street and tried to bomb the synagogue.

On October 2, 2025, during Yom Kippur, a man drove a car into worshippers outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation in Crumpsall, Manchester, then got out and attacked people with a knife. Police shot him dead at the scene.

Two people were killed, Adrian Daulby (53) and Melvin Cravitz (66), both members of the local Jewish community. Reports indicate Daulby was accidentally killed by police gunfire during the response. Three others were seriously injured, one stabbed, one hit by the car, and another by stray police fire.

The attacker was identified as Jihad al-Shamie, a 35-year-old British citizen of Syrian origin who was on bail for an alleged rape. He wore what appeared to be an explosive belt, but it was fake. Investigators are treating the case as a terrorist attack and exploring links to Islamist extremism.

Authorities activated Operation Plato, and arrests were made in the days that followed. The incident has heightened concern about antisemitism in the UK. Prime Minister Keir Starmer returned from an overseas trip to lead the emergency response, and Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis urged “national soul-searching” after the tragedy.

The attacker has been named by the UK Police as Jihad Al-Shami, a Syrian national.

But this isn't at all likely to be a birthname, it is an Islamic nom du guerre . Al Shami just means The Syrian and as is typical for all ISIS members, they give up their real names and adopt a 'war name' which almost always refers to their original nationality or city they are from.

The fact that he has entered the UK and given an obviously false name to authorities is already cause for concern, let alone the fact that he is using a name like that. It's fucking beyond ridiculous.
