Re: The LEGO Vid Youtube Banned
they were likely banned because they used the LEGO song in a video asking people to stop promoting lego (or rather, lego's association with Shell). also, they tried to prove their point (that legos are bad) by buying a bunch of legos and making a video with them,. maybe PETA will follow Greenpeace's lead and have a 'PETA Awareness BBQ' |

Re: The LEGO Vid Youtube Banned
i think that while Greepeace has a point, they could have easily been more vocal on the topic in the past. them choosing to wait until the movie came out, then the way they chose to present their case, says to me that they are more into opportunism and gathering attention than they are into actual helping the planet. i mean, how much money was spent on that animation? or on the rights to use that song? and will their petition actual cause change? not likely... so they are getting people to sign a petition and likely sending them funds for an issue that they likely will have no effect on. like i said though, they do have a point. so they get my moral support on the issue but no monetary support from me and no support on the means for which they tried to convey their message. |

Re: The LEGO Vid Youtube Banned
Cute, clever, and well done. But it's message is the usual over simplified communist clap trap hiding behind the environment, world peace, world hunger, climate change, anti nukes, bla bla bla. They should use their money on something that will actually make a difference. I'm not going to give up my Legos and I'm certainly not going to stop buying Legos...in fact I might buy even more just to spite these assholes. When is the radical left environmental movement going to stop whining? Just because Shell Oil drills in the Artic, doesn't automatically spell total environmental disaster.

Re: The LEGO Vid Youtube Banned
I don't see what communism has to do with our massive dependency on finite petroleum resources. I'm pretty sure everyone will give a shit when the prices of extracting oil begin to skyrocket and the economy starts to collapse. Maybe buying tons of plastic children's toys out of spite isn't the best way to deal with this either.
