An informed source in Mosul city revealed on Wednesday, that the so-called ISIS used nitric acid to kill and torture the residents in Mosul.

The source said in a brief statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “ISIS terrorist members executed 25 persons in Mosul on charges of spying and collaborating with Iraqi security forces,” pointing out that, “ISIS put the citizens in a large tub containing nitric acid inside one of its headquarters.”

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added, “ISIS members tied each person with a rope and lowered him in the tub, which contains nitric acid, till the victims organs dissolve.”

The pain and shock as it dissolves their legs would kill them before it reaches their organs - assuming they were lowered feet first rather than submerged. Which organs anyway? Abdominal? Thoracic?

Nitric is strong but not the worst. It would burn but not as bad as HCl (for example). It also depends how diluted it is.

I'd still like to see the video.

ISIS does tend to pussy out a bit on their vids..they have no problem showing their deeds to the world, but have some non fanatic part of their religion left not to show the good shit in the vids.. you know? turn the camera/slow motion to some other shit etc. then come back after the deed been done..

I wouldn't put it past them to do something like this. And to be honest? I think they could wrangle the supplies up to make it happen. They Have/Had the money to do so, and they're always raiding something or another.

We've seen them run people over with tanks, blow people to bits with dynamite execution style etc. Why not acid? Some of their people been disfiguring their estranged or dishonorable with it for decades now.

The shock etc. could at least knock them out.. The fumes from the acid would probably kill them, burn their lungs out as a blistering agent.
Same time.. it's just burning them..who knows?
In the end, I'm sure their organs would have melted in the stuff, though they'd probably already be dead.
The acid wouldn't break them down that fast for their major organs to melt while still alive/conscious..
