cursive is evil and is dr's main language i think cause its always just scribbles. i wasnt much good at it but i can write cursive if i have to. but cutting out writing is just gonna dumb down more kids. the day we have no computers to type with is when they are screwed. |

Re: Indiana Latest US State to Drop Handwriting Requirement (12 July 2011)
Honesly in IMO, I came here to this country when I was 18 and my best friend (american) his cursive was so "perfect" as they say, I couldnt read shit of it. I think this cursive writing is another one of those stupid "classy" requirement, they have this in my country to at some point, is like making your children learn the piano or eat with three spoon and three forke! nothing appearance wise can prove classiness, class is in your attitude to other beings :) in other hand, however, is necessiry to learn how to write essay and express yourself, because that is priceless. now that I see so many people are horrible at :-/ they could spend money on that instead |

Re: Indiana Latest US State to Drop Handwriting Requirement (12 July 2011)
I honestly recall sitting in 1st grade them teaching it and telling us middle school and high school was gonna be nothing but cursive as its all they would except. but i agree@nihilissimo its a silly requirement, and really the only use i see it for is signing your name other than that i rather be able to read whats being written down. |
