She was told to exit the vehicle. She did not comply and attempted to flee the scene via accelerating vehicle pointed at the IA. From his perspective, he may not have been able to see the wheels begin to turn away. Messy, true. Justified? Much more information needed, including the reason she was being pursued, before that can be determined. In the meanwhile, stop, just stop.

Y'all obv bias lol. She was given two commands from two ice agents. First one told her to leave, she was doing so. Then they try to pull open her door? She obv was not ramming her car into an ice agents. The wheels were turned and the agent stepped aside. This is uncalled for excessive force.

I went to the US years ago with a sports team and our coaches warned us that if we got into trouble and tried to run from the American cops, that they could shoot us. So never try to flee, is what we had imprinted on our brains. It didn't seem Draconian to us. Seemed fair enough. And the Netherlands is the same, they can shoot you if you run from them. About 5 years ago they shot dead 2 robbers who were running away from them. So has that changed in America now ? Are they not allowed to shoot you for fleeing ?  |
