Remember a few years ago when Germany freaked out and banned Red Bull because it contained some microscopic traces of cocaine? They got their panties all in a wad, like it was manufactured by slave labor or something...oh wait.   |

Redbull is still banned in a few places in Europe, though not due to any alleged cocaine traces. IIRC you can only get redbull in chemists/pharmacies in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and france. Poitín is still illegal that stuff is genuinely dangerous and in most cases tastes foul. Worth trying though if you can get hold of a well made batch. If you don't like it you can always use it to clean paint from your hands |

Who was it that banned RedBull because of the trace cocaine? And why on earth has any country restricted RedBull? It tastes kinda yuky but if someone's willing to but it...why not? Beside the owner of RedBull restores antique planes...seems like a good use of profits. Isn't RedBull kind of a European product?

I remember they used some of that Redbull money to pay off the family of a police officer. That one of the heirs of the Redbull fortune ran over and continued driving home leaving the cop to die in the street.

Germany, it was in redbull cola. I think redbull is Danish Vorayuth Yoovidhya, 27-year-old heir to the multi billion-dollar Red Bull fortune and co-owner of Thailand's Ferrari importer, was arrested today for a heinous-sounding hit-and-run involving his new Ferrari FF and the Thai motorcycle police officer he allegedly collided with and then dragged some distance down a Bangkok street. He then fled to his family's mansion in a wealthy neighborhood of Bangkok without rendering aid to the officer. Another Thai police officer then apparently tried to cover up the crime, but the head of the Bangkok police said he'd rather "resign" than let the grandson of Red Bull's founder get away with it. According to reports, Yoovidhya was in his FF earlier Monday morning when he hit motorcycle officer Stg. Mat. Wichean Glanprasert. The officer was pulled with the car more than 100 feet before Yoovidhya reportedly left the body and slipped into his gated estate. At one point, another officer tried to put up a different suspect, but the police were able to follow the damage several blocks to the estate. That officer was suspended and chief police official Lt. Gen. Comronwit Toopgrajank said he'd do anything to see justice served. "A policeman is dead. I can't let this stand. If I let this case get away, I'd rather quit," he told reporters. "I don't care how powerful they are. If I can't get the actual man in this case, I will resign." Yoovidhya says he was cut-off by the bike cop, but the family said they'd take responsibility.  · |
