I watched this documentary about the African muti murders. It was really interesting. I am going to go back in to Amazon and see if I can't screen shot some of the pictures and post it somewhere  . Being from S.A. you probably know about them using albino body parts and in some muti just the head or part of a child. But they also make them out of rhino horn and herbs and shit like that. The point the documentary was trying to make is that many of these muti which are just like spells or voodoo prayers are for fortune. There is a push just like in America for people to have the good life, the best products, nice house, etc. The problem in many African countries is that the chances of getting material things desired is more difficult than it is in Western society. To me that seems like a lack of wanting to work for something nice which is cultural in and of itself. Farming is hard and you can be successful but you will work your ass off to get it. |
