Corpse in Public Pool Goes Unnoticed for 2 Days in Water
FALL RIVER, Massachusetts - City health inspectors in Massachusetts have been placed on administrative leave after their inspections on Monday and Tuesday did not uncover a woman’s body, which had apparently been there since Sunday. The Fall River Herald News reported the inspectors’ suspension came Thursday. Placed on leave earlier this week was the entire staff of the public pool at Lafayette Park in Fall River, Massachusetts. In a statement Wednesday, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation said it has closed all 30 of its deep water pools and will perform a complete review on all of them. The 36-year-old woman, Marie Joseph, was last seen Sunday helping a 9-year-old neighborhood boy down the slide. "Marie unexpectedly slid down the slide landing on top of him,” Fall River Police Chief Daniels said. “He further stated that he believes Marie went under the water and did not surface." The pool was busy both Monday and Tuesday. Swimmers say they didn't see anything in the water, though some called it “murky.” According to the Herald News, Fall River Mayor Will Flanagan, who suspended the health inspectors, also ordered state health officials to determine if anyone who swam in the pool between Sunday and Tuesday faces any health risk. http://www.nbcactionnews.com/dpp/new...ool-for-2-days Sucks for those people <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" id="video" width="320" height="280" data="http://www.nbcactionnews.com/video/videoplayer.swf?dppversion=10783"><param value="http://www.nbcactionnews.com/video/videoplayer.swf?dppversion=10783" name="movie"/><param value="&skin=MP1ExternalAll-MFL.swf&embed=true&adSizeArray=1x1000,320x40,3x100 0&adSrc=http%3A%2F%2Fad%2Edoubleclick%2Enet%2Fpfad x%2Fssp%2Ekshb%2Fnews%2Fnational%2Fdetail%3Bdcmt%3 Dtext%2Fxml%3Bsz%3D%25size%25%3Bpos%3D%25pos%25%3B loc%3D%25loc%25%3Bcomp%3D%25adid%25%3Btile%3D3%3Bf name%3Dwomans%2Dbody%2Dgoes%2Dunnoticed%2Din%2Dpub lic%2Dswimming%2Dpool%2Dfor%2D2%2Ddays%3Bord%3D811 679155304032100%3Frand%3D%25rand%25&flv=http%3A%2F %2Fwww%2Enbcactionnews%2Ecom%2Ffeeds%2FoutboundFee d%3FobfType%3DVIDEO%5FPLAYER%5FSMIL%5FFEED%26compo nentId%3D187995905&img=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia2%2Enbcac tionnews%2Ecom%2F%2Fphoto%2F2011%2F06%2F30%2FCorps e%5Fwent%5F2%5Fdays%5Funnfbb0409c%2D28d6%2D4b03%2D 972e%2D97e8352b5cf20000%5F20110630115526%5F640%5F4 80%2EJPG&story=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Enbcactionnews%2E com%2Fdpp%2Fnews%2Fnational%2Fwomans%2Dbody%2Dgoes %2Dunnoticed%2Din%2Dpublic%2Dswimming%2Dpool%2Dfor %2D2%2Ddays&category=&title=&oacct=&ovns=" name="FlashVars"/><param value="all" name="allowNetworking"/><param value="always" name="allowScriptAccess"/></object> |

Re: Corpse in Public Pool Goes Unnoticed for 2 Days in Water
Well I was kinda assuming that she was at the bottom and hadn't floated up yet. Cause people can't be THAT stupid that they wouldn't notice that. Its bad enough that no one noticed a body underneath the water, but on top? That would be the most pathetic thing. And it also says something for what the water looked like in the first place....water should be clear to see the bottom. How cloudy could it have been normally that no one thought to find where a cloud came from.
