It is a degrading scenario for the parent's modesty. They just need to get a grip. This accident turned into a HOMICIDE, the police, investigators, etc. Needed to get every piece of evidence plausible AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so that the district attorney did not have to deal with an private counsel putting all the blame on her, for her own death. When this goes to trial, they can replay the entire scene of the crime, using her "exposed" body as evidence. Without all the evidence, this kid could throw his dead girlfriend under the bus, and say she caused the wreck. |

Oh, Oswald. What's done is done. Yes she must have been pretty stupid to get in the car with him. But he shares blame. So sorry for not putting enough emphasis on how dumb a young, 20 year old girl can be.

You're still being irresponsible. She was the one that made the fatal mistake that ended in her death. Hopefully, others may learn a lesson and not make that mistake. It's your life. Do not get into a car with an impaired driver. Driving around with a drunk driver can/does kill. Simple. And if you make excuses, like loveneverdies, you to can end up dead like this young woman. Don't....Make....Excuses. |

What you say is true. Unfortunately, 20 year old girls sometimes don't think beyond the moment. Most feel they are invincible. Her immaturity and lack of life experience/common sense certainly didn't help her that night.

the weird part is that the sheriffs office first denied such pics exists and calling it bizarre etc and then says the pics were taken for “medically necessary,” so don't they even know what the procedures are in cases like this ?. They didn't say it was done for an eventual crime case. wonder if they would have done the same if it was a 85 yo woman though. |

Chicago in general is one disorganized mess in their agencies, and nine times out of ten have not worked out much detail of shared knowledge. The pics show mostly state police cars. They may have handled the street investigations, sheriffs the death and criminal, and if CPD was there, they prob dropped doughnut crumbs and spilled coffee in the scene.
