The Brits Are Building a Wall
http://nypost.com/2016/09/07/the-uk-...-out-migrants/ The Brits are building a wall – and they won’t even make Mexico pay for it. The British government has taken a chapter from Donald Trump’s campaign playbook by announcing the construction of “a big, new wall” in the northern French port of Calais to keep migrants from jumping on trucks. “People are still getting through,” UK Immigration Minister Robert Goodwill said, The Guardian reported. “We have done the fences. Now we are doing the wall.” The roughly half-mile, 13-foot-tall wall — part of a $23 million package of joint Anglo-French measures to tighten security at Calais – is expected to be completed by the end of the year, officials said. The wall will be built in two sections on either side of a port approach road to protect the trucks from the migrants, who have used rocks, shopping carts and even tree trunks to try and stop the vehicles before climbing aboard. The UK will pay for the $3 million wall, the latest barrier to be erected in Europe, which has been buckling under its biggest migrant influx in decades. Dubbed “The Great Wall of Calais,” the concrete structure has already been assailed by local residents and mocked for sounding like a small version of The Donald’s proposed wall across the border with Mexico. “We’re going to build a wall. Trump, no wait, I mean UK immigration minister says work to start on £1.9m Calais wall,” the Reading Green party tweeted. “Out-Trumping Trump? Seriously? Work to begin on ‘big wall’ at Calais to block migrants,” Catherine Fieschi posted under the handle @CFieschi. The Brits are building a wall – and they won’t even make Mexico pay for it. François Guennoc of Auberge des Migrants, a French aid group in Calais, said: “This wall is the latest extension to kilometres of fencing and security surveillance already in place. It will just result in people going further to get round it. “When you put walls up anywhere in the world, people find ways to go round them. It’s a waste of money. It could make it more dangerous for people, it will push up tariffs for people smugglers and people will end up taking more risks,” he added. The French and British police should start shooting live ammo at unruly moo slums. At the slightest provocation. |

Re: The Brits Are Building a Wall
Bet many if not most refugees ( 7000-9000 ) in the Calais jungle camp are economic refugees as France is just as safe as the U.K or any other country they travelled through to get there. Building a wall is a waste of taxpayers money imo as long these "refugees" think that they get higher benefits in the U.K as in other countries. And special landmark rulings like the one in January when a U.K judge granted 3 teens and a disabled guy from Syria to come in as their siblings are already in the U.K is not the right sign to other "refugees" as now they think they can get the same treatment while that ruling was a special case. Most just think they're getting a house and money and then call their family to come over ffs. |

If you were a desperate refugee you would stop at the first place that would take you. These people are not genuine refugees, they are money grubbing gypsies.

Re: The Brits Are Building a Wall
If that UK judge was made to take them in personally, into his own home, share a kitchen and bath with them and pay for ALL their upkeep out of his own pocket...the ruling would have been different. The real problem is that Liberal Globalist Elites and their Useful Idiots have and are creating situations that other people have to pay for and put up with. Now...IF...the burden were suddenly shifted onto the shoulders of ONLY the people that caused the problems...the problems would STOP. The supposedly 'impossible' would magically become a fast and easy 'done deal'. Instantly. It really is that simple. Just a question of the PAIN OF THE BURDEN and "whose ox is gored". |

Re: The Brits Are Building a Wall
We wouldn't need a wall if we cut the gravy train in benefits to immigrants, they wouldn't come here in such numbers if they knew there is no fucking money. I have yet to see article 50 signed, so we are still effectively in the EU. |

Re: The Brits Are Building a Wall
I'm surprised that the notion of protecting a countries border is even up for debate. Only reason they have yet to build any real barricade here in the U.S is because the government knows that if they stop the money, drugs, and laborers that come across that border, they also stop the $$$ |
