The Babysitter Killer, Infamous Oakland Child Killer Never Caught
I searched to see if there was already a thread on this, but turned up no results. This is in reference to the Oakland County Child Killer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oakland...y_Child_Killer Is anyone knowledgeable about this story? Some guy was picking kids up in the 70s, torturing them, raping them for days, and then placing them in public spaces completely cleaned and groomed, just like a "babysitter", hence the dubbing. There were a total of two suspects. The most famous one, Chris Busch, who actually was let go, mainly because of his rich family. He took a polygraph test and they said he passed. Decades later, experts took a look at the results, and he had failed. He had been originally arrested on possible child pornography possession. This was just before one of the kids were murdered. He later committed suicide, left no note, and once he was dead, the murders stopped. Here's the creepiest part - on his wall, there's a sketch of a child screaming, and it looks exactly like one of the victims, right down to the hoody. The belief now is that he had an accomplice. He wasn't a pleasant looking person. The thought is, he had someone young who could get them to come back with them. They found a hair on one of the victims' clothing, and it didn't belong to Busch. Apparently, it belonged to a teenager at the time, that some had long suspected had been part of the crime. I don't know the status of that aspect to the case, but it was very recent, and apparently it was a biological match. Bloody ligatures were found at the scene of the suicide, but they've never been recovered. They don't know if the blood was from one of the victims. Today, DNA analysis could have been done, and Busch would have been officially declared the murderer if it was tied to one of the victims. At the time this was the largest murder investigation in American history. Anyway, the suicide scene photos were recently released. They are censored. I don't know if anyone has them raw. BTW, some believe the suicide was staged. Apparently, he was shot right in between the eyes. Get a load of the sketch on the wall. http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/local_n...-suicide-scene Click "large photo", and then pan through each of the photographs. Also, read the Wiki entry linked. It really breaks it all down, including the victims. Horrifying. |

Re: The Babysitter Killer, Infamous Oakland Child Killer Never Caught
I was living a mile from where Timmy King (last victim) was found at the time. My mom actually called the cops after she heard because she saw a Gremlin (the model car the kidnapper was supposedly driving) parked in front of a drug store on 8 Mile about a 1/2 mile from where his body was located the same night, she had stopped there to get a prescription.
