Re: 800 Babies Found Buried in a Septic Tank Mass Grave During 1920-1960s
So, even if they ALL were illness related deaths - why would they be dumping them into the septic tank? Don't Catholics believe in burials and such - I always assumed so. I mean, even burning is better than throwing them into a shit tank. Why would they be so disrespectful to the babies? |

Many so-called "Christians" are in fact soulless evil charlatans. But of course you never hear anyone complain about them. |

Re: 800 Babies Found Buried in a Septic Tank Mass Grave During 1920-1960s
1926 to 1961 = 35 years 800 children divided by 35 years = 22.85 per year So equals out to about 23 children a year approximately Could 23 children die from child birth, deformities, ill health and disease a year? It’s possible. Though very sad. Will be interesting to find out more As far as being dumped into a septic tank, that’s a bit rough though. |

23 kids dead EVERY year for 3 and a half decades? Due only to massive medical, nutritional and social neglect. That's called "letting 'em rot". Literally. There had better be some compensation to relatives for that at least. Something. This story reminds me of that footage here on DR from that Romanian orphanage. |

This made me giggle quite loudly. And to think these babies could have grown up and been assholes. Shame |

Re: 800 Babies Found Buried in a Septic Tank Mass Grave During 1920-1960s
Has someone checked up another source? The most frequent deaths took place in a time period of three years. Can't be bothered to look up how many, but the average during those years, in, and including all the others, amounted to two (2) per week. Estimation is malnourishment were one of the factors. Which of course can lead to diminished immune system and therefore illness, but none the less. And even more relevant if you think people of the cloth are by nature more "nice" |

Maybe times were different back then, childhood deaths due to disease were pretty common in those days...lots of families had 10-12 kids and lost 3-4 to diseases... Lynchings were too Times change and so do our perspectives |

Well, yes, but this was an orphanage. The surrounding community thought the kids grew up and flew away, but no. There were a lot of misconducting going on in that place. Otherwise; Why the septic tank? |
