i have no issue with it whatsoever i think it's a childish mentality to desire to have everybody 'fit in' to society. it (to me) shows insecurity in the people that harbor this mentality. what i mean is, when somebody does something that has no bearing on another person (like watch a cartoon or have sex with a person of their choosing) and another person takes offense, there is usually a reason why the person is taking offense and that reason usually has to do with that person's insecurities more than it has to do with any form or morality, social or otherwise.

xenophobia (not really an accurate term here since there isnt a 'fear' of that which is 'strange'...also, it's commonly misused to discribe a fear of foreigners but this isnt accurate. the term describes a fear of that which is considered 'strange'. an irrational fear of foreigners is a type of xenophobia but not what im talking about in this situation.) isnt something to be proud of. i'd be embarrassed, personally, to support such an archaic mindset.

I was bullied by a classmate in 4th grade who was two years older and a giant compared to me.

My brother told my father, who got pissed off at me. He told me that I'd better fight back, or he'd beat my "f*cking ass worse than some punk kid can".

I fought back the next day, got my ass kicked, and kept coming back for more. Several times. The bully probably never expected it. I got a few good punches in, but did get my ass handed back to me.

The next day, the bully and I became friends. I never had a problem at that school again.

I was bullied both physically and emotionally from the ages of 9 to 14 years old. By the same son of a bitch. I was SO scared of him I did not tell my parents. He was our neighbor's son. He was MY age. I did NOTHING to make my life a hell for 5 years!

This is TRAGIC. And the child lying in that hospital did NOTHING wrong!!
